Home Academy Partnership

The AMBS Home Academy Partnership (HAP) organizes and oversees the fundraising and community building activities that help our school thrive and flourish. HAP is a volunteer group comprised of parents and alumni parents. The executive board works closely with the staff, administration, advisory board and event/committee chairs. ALL AMBS parents are members of the HAP Parent Group.

In addition to planning the fun events and initiatives for the AMBS community, HAP is responsible for the following:

·         Pizza on every full Monday from September to June

·         Frozen yogurt served the first Monday of every month from September to June

·         Fun Food First Friday’s from October to June

·         Non Uniform Today (N.U.T.) Days

·         Spirit Wear Sales

HAP Volunteer Opportunities – Make a Difference by Volunteering!
Your help and support will keep the HAP parent group strong and deliver fabulous events and activities for our children. Please visit our Sign-Up Genius to stay involved – we are only as strong as our volunteers! Link can be found on the AMBS Website (www.ambs.org) under the HAP heading for future reference.

HAP Communications
HAP communicates regularly via Eblasts from Dr. Altonjy. All flyers and events will also be listed on the AMBS Website (www.ambs.org) under the HAP heading for future reference. A monthly newsletter will be sent home via backpacks with future dates and important information

Information can also be found on Facebook. Mrs. Stroud manages the Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament Facebook page. The page is constantly updated with new event information, dates and pictures of the children in the classroom! Please also join the closed group “AMBS Parents;” this is a forum for the parents, alumni and alumni parents to stay connected to the AMBS community.

Class Parents
Class Parents serve an important role; they help our teachers and school by:

* Planning class parties and coordinating volunteers for field trips or other activities.

* Collecting monies for teacher gifts and fundraisers.

* Serve as liaisons between the HAP and the parents by forwarding emails, soliciting volunteers and sharing information with our parents.

* Attending HAP parent meetings.

* Volunteering to support HAP activities, fundraisers or initiatives.

* Coordinating volunteers to serve pizza and yogurt on Mondays during your class’ assigned month (applicable for 8th grade – Transitions)
